HALLOWEEN IS COMING! Okay, it's only September, but here at Nick (and at Teenage Robot in particular) this is our favorite holiday and we get started early. We actually had a meeting last month to start planning how we will decorate the Teenage Robot offices for the kids that come through on Halloween. The picture above is just one section of last year's decorations with a Frankenstein's monster Jenny about to rise from the slab. What's in store for this year? You'll have to wait and see... Posted by Hello

That's really great. It looks just like the show, especially the equipment.

Hey mengs! That holloween set up kicks butt, I wish I could see it in action. I thought I'd write, I'd been sketching some Sheldons, (he's hands down my favorite) and I was psyched when I saw there was a blog for mlaatr. I'm a comic artist for now, but my real lifelong dream is to make a cartoon.. I was just wondering if maybe I could get some advice. ^^;
Ah and sketches are up here.. man I don't know what was with me that night, i was kind of just messing around. And apolagies for the one on the left, ugh, that jacket round his waist, sketchy junk. Kudos to your retro char designs, love the look! Sorry for the rambling comment!

A similar question came up on an earlier post, and for convenience, I will repeat my prior response here.

"I don't know if they still do it, but animation magazine ran a contest in 2003 where the winner would be allowed to pitch a show idea to the judge of their choice. An outside shot (aren't they all?) but entering could be a useful experience in itself.

As for education, there are lots of animation schools out there. As for which one to go to, that's a question I'm not equipped to answer. Maybe there's a book on these schools somewhere, or some other resource.

Perhaps http://www.awn.com/ may be useful in answering some of your questions."

Every year my son Dylan and I have been building our Halloween animatronic display. This year we added 12 new figures and my wife had been making the clothes etc. but then I clued in that Halloween Costumes were the ideal solution - ya, ok I'm slow but...This year is really cool because we've done an HP Lovecraft display that I'm sure he'd appreciate but I'm not so sure he'd approve of this - The Necronomicon - Is it just me or is that just plain goofy ? Anyway, everybody is doing their own Haunted House thing now but hey - it's fun and if you've got kids I really suggest you try it yourself if you haven't already. It's a nice change from the usual Christmas Lights routine and a lot of scaaarrry fun. Happy Halloween everybody.

I was just browsing various blogs as I was doing a search on the word halloween, and I just wanted to say that I really like what you've done with your blog, even though it wasn't particularly related to what I searched for. I appreciate your postings, and your blog is a good example of how a blog should be done. I've only just recently started a Posters website - feel free to visit it when you get a chance if you wish. Much success, antonio.
