SOMETHING YOU'LL NEVER SEE ON TV! Yes, it's yet another scene that has been cut during the storyboarding stage of production. A mean kid ties Jenny to a rocket and sends her off to her doom only to have Jenny turn the rocket around on the little brat. It was cut primarily because of time concerns, but also because it was the least funny of a sequence of four bits... and because it seemed too reminiscent of "Toy Story." But now you, the blog readers, can enjoy it in all its original splendor.  Posted by Hello

Today we're pitching one of our last four storyboards to the Execs. It's called "The Brad-venturer" and for you Brad fans out there, it's a chance for him to finally step out from under Jenny's shadow.

We just had the initial pitch and now is the nail-biting time when we wait for the bigwigs to call us back to hear their notes. Will they ask for a few dialogue tweaks and attitude adjustments? Or will they tear apart the whole story, putting us weeks behind schedule and threatening to destroy the entire second season?!?!

We will know very soon...

FAN ART WITH ADVERTISING! Now our fans are not only sending us fan art, but are subtly imbedding advertising for their own sites in the artwork. Okay, maybe not so subtly. Posted by Hello

PING PONG CHAMPIONSHIPS! Yes, we talk about Teenage Robot a lot on this blog, but if you really want to know what goes on behind the scenes here at MLAATR and at Nickelodeon in general, it's all about the pong. An all-Nick tournament of elimination Ping Pong has been underway for two weeks now and Team Robot has been at the top of the pack... in enthusiasm if not in number of games won. We've got a few digital pictures that I should be able to upload Monday so you can see the MLAATR creatives in their funky pong attire. How's that for a tease to keep you salivating all weekend? Posted by Hello

That's right, Teen Robot fans, we are already working on the last two stories of the second season. All the rest are written and being storyboarded as we speak. Our last episode currently consists of "Comet Goddess" and "Just a Regular Girl," both of which are a mix of comedy and action. We're already cooking up some ideas for a third season, but we won't know if we get picked up for a third season for several months.

We saw the first episode in its final form a few days ago... animated, edited, and with music and sound effects. It's a half-hour special featuring Jenny and the Crust Cousins that I think you'll really enjoy. We're still waiting to hear from the network about its exact air date, but it looks like it will be late September or early October. We'll let you know as soon as we know.

OUTTAKES! As in any show, some of the funniest bits on Teenage Robot end up on the cutting room floor. This was a gag from a storyboard we reviewed yesterday where Wakeman zips off her skin to reveal she is really Tuck in a princess outfit. Yes, it was from a dream sequence and I thought it was hilarious, but it didn't make the cut.  Posted by Hello

BOGUS MERCHANDISE! Yes! You know a show has truly made it when someone starts hawking unlicensed merchandise on Ebay! Pictured above are some pilfered decals, and they have some completely unauthroized iron-ons too. Go Rip-off Jenny, go! (Nickelodeon, Frederator, and MLAATR in no way advocate the selling of copyrighted or trademarked characters under any circumstance. So there.)
