Count on us!

Hey everyone, we're back and feeling very refreshed, thanks for asking.
I wanted to alert faithful mlaatr followers thats this week's installation of the Channel Frederator podcast features "The Vampire Who Came to Dinner" one of the six Mina and the Count shorts Rob Renzetti directed before creating Teenage Robot (1 for Cartoon Network and 5 for Nickelodeon). Besides being a great cartoon, it also has a soft spot in my heart because it was one of the very first times Rob and I ever collaborated on anything. Check it out here or subscribe through itunes (it's free).
Also check out some of our favorite classic cartoons on the the ReFrederator podcast, curated by my own father, Dave Kirwan.

I loved that cartoon. I was actually kinda sad that it didn't get to be a series.

  4. Mina is truly adorable.

Not as cute as Jenny but then no one is!

I say try and get "Mina and the Count" on another network, but then I have offered that solution before!

At least they have MLaaTR as a Nicktoon-Now if they would only release the Third Season!

What are you geniuses up to for your next "rabbit out of the hat"?

  5. When the count hides the food, that remembered me that old (but funny) Mr.Bean's scene when he's eating flesh in a "fine cuisine" restaurant. Very funny!

  8. I saw that! It was amazing, and I loved the vampire's voice actor; and the way he flew away as a bat when the sister of the little girl went after him...
    Hilarious.
It kind of made me smile to hear the vampire speak of Mina so fondly, since that's my little sister's name. :D

  10. I have a lot of nostalgia for the show, and it's cool that this blog is still around. I remember Mina and the Count also, that was a lot of fun. I miss those zany "what a cartoon" days when all these nutty shows seemed to be sprouting up like mushrooms . . . .
