  4. Actually, the art deco style was Robert Renzetti's homage to the late Great Hal Fleischer, the man who developed Popeye, Betty Boop, and other famous characters of the 30s and 40s.

    He let the combination of the 30's syle bacgkround and the futuristic setting of Tremerton be a counter point to each other as the story was really character driven.
