A few of you have been wondering what show Alex and I are working on at Cartoon Network. We are not working on one show. You could say we are working on the future of Cartoon Network!
I am supervising their Shorts program. I will help to find new ideas for future shows and help the creators of those ideas produce pilots for those possible shows. Alex is (as always) my right hand man. He will be helping the creators develop the visual style of their show.
And we will both have the opportunity to do some of our own ideas.
I guess you fit better in that kind of shows. If someday you create another show just call it:
ReplyDelete"Living as a Teenage Robot" and put a robot named Jenny there.

In how much they leave "Jenny Action"...it could separate one to me, please?...=)
ReplyDeleteI want a character like Jenny to appear!
ReplyDeleteBy the way...
I ask Mr.Renzetti.
"The song of Minky Momo" appeared by #8B"I Was a Preschool Dropout".
Is this the parody of the music "Pressure" of a British rock band "THE KINKS"?
Why are they "Minky Momo" and "Pressure"?
If something is reasonable, please let me know.
Since we were Japanese, we took pains to solve this mystery. ^^;
tochigami: your site is nice!

If I recall correctly, both Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Lab started as shorts on one of those potpourri style short cartoon shows. It'd be interesting to see what happens this time.
ReplyDeleteI remember thinking at the time a few years ago that the original 'What A Cartoon' show was a great explosion of originality, and I'm glad that the idea appears to be coming back. Of course, there was a lot of stuff on 'What A Cartoon' that I wasn't a huge fan of, but I appreciated the "let's throw a lot of stuff out there and see what people like" idea.
Thanks for the blog, it's really cool to know what's going on with what you and your associates are working on.

ReplyDeleteGreetings to everybody!!

As noted about, there is no doubt that the "Minky Momo" song is based on the Kinks "Pressure". I had the Low Budget album on today for the first time in years and noticed the similarity immediately. The melodies are the same, and both have the line "Whenever I get close to you." Also, Minky Momo has the word "Attitude", which is another song on Low Budget. Case closed.
