SUBMIT YOUR ROBOTGIRL! Several people have asked how they can submit their own fan art of Jenny (and other characters) to the blog. The simplest way is to save your picture as a jpeg and email it to
You can also post it on your own website and send us the link. We can't post everything that we get, but if we get enough submissions we'll try to set up a site just for fan art. Posted by Hello

FAN ART! - This is one of the first pieces of fan art ever sent in to us. Deric Phillips created this wild version of XJ9. Posted by Hello

Has Anyone seen Jenny Wakeman?

Or any other MLAATR characters being portrayed at the ComicCon? I know it's probably too soon to have people making TR costumes but I can hope, can't I? Unfortunately I couldn't make it down to San Diego this year so I'm hoping any fans that go can report back if they see any other fans dressed in metallic blue and white. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Teen Robot Goes to San Diego. No, we're not officially going to Comic Con to represent MLAATR, but it seems like half the staff left today or are going tomorrow. All of Nickelodeon is a little quieter today as comic and cartoon fans make the two hour trek south to commune with the geeks. If you're going to be down there, keep your eyes open. The guy sitting next to you in that She-Hulk oufit might be from Teenage Robot. Posted by Hello

Today (In about five minutes) the entire crew will get together to see one of our storyboard artists pitch the next show to the network.  It's tentatively titled "Enter the Can" and features Tuck as he enters the world of superheroing.  That can't be a good thing, can it?

WE'VE BEEN NOMINATED! Hey Teen Robot fans. Your favorite show was just nominated in the "Television Series for Children" category at the Ottawa International Animation Festival. The episode "Speak No Evil" is our representative to the festival, so keep your fingers crossed.  Posted by Hello

ART DECO LIVES! The look of MLAATR is heavily influenced by art deco. If you're interested, there are a lot of great sites out there that explain, showcase, and preserve art deco buildings, objects, and artwork. Here are just a few: Enjoy! Posted by Hello

JENNY LOVES CHACHI ! Okay, bad joke. Possibly an extremely obscure joke if you're weren't around in the 70's, but... even if Jenny doesn't love Chachi, she does love LINKS! And we've added some links to other MLAATR sites at the bottom of the right hand column. So enjoy! Posted by Hello

YOU'LL NEVER SEE THIS ON TV! Jill, one of our very talented character designers, was inspired to draw this Cowboy Brad after seeing some fan art online that put Jenny's good friend in Western attire. But don't worry. Other than on this blog, this will never see the light of day. We promise. Posted by Hello

NAME DROPPING - We got some interesting comments about titles and names. Some other names coming your way in this season's episodes are YK9, QT2, Armagedroid, and Killgore! Posted by Hello

My Life as a Teenage Robot Show Creator

Just wanted to drop in (now that I'm invited) and say how jazzed I am to see our Roblog up and running. The enthusiasm of the staff and fans means the world to me. I know everyone is getting anxious for new episodes and I want you to know that were all anxious to make them for you. Just started working on the music and sound fx for the first second season episode. It's a half hour special called "Victim of Fashion" and it's looking great. Our design team really poured their heart (and hands) into this one. What's it about? To quote Number 2: "Now that would be telling."

What's In A Name?

Well, I spent a good chunk of today trying to come up with new titles for most of the second season episodes. We give each episode a name when we first come up with a premise and that name generally sticks with it through the outline, storyboarding, and recording phases. But yesterday we took a look at some of the clunkers we'd used and thought, "We've gotta come up with something better than this!"

Do the names of episodes matter to you? Do you have favorites? Or, as long as the show itself rocks, we could call it "MLAATR-37B" and you couldn't care less?

BEWARE FOOLISH MORTALS! I have just been visited by my boss, Creator and King of the Teenage Robot empire, Rob Renzetti. Although he doesn't look much like Smytus, he does command that degree of respect. We were just discussing an episode tentatively entitled "Get Your Hands Off My Mother." Rob came in and said it was in good shape and he didn't have many notes, but before he left I had two entire pages of notes of things to change! Ah well, each step in the process just makes it a better show down the road. Long live Smytus! Posted by Hello

LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU! I know Jenny and her friends are captivating to watch, but have you ever looked BEHIND them? The backgrounds for Teenage Robot are miniature works of art in themselves. The colors. The designs. The details. Videotape an episode the next time it's on and pause the tape to check out what's literally going on behind the scenes.  Posted by Hello
